DJ PolarSphere's Totally Arctic Mixes Archives

October 1, 2021

Polar Sphere AKA PolarSphere is a DJ name that I used as early as 2005 bust mostly in the early 2010s. After I no longer had Vinyl Turn Tables, My DJ name changed to Beholder Sphere in the 2020s. In 2024 I became DJ Beholdify. I've always enjoyed chill-out and dance music DJ and beat matching. Many of my first mixes were done on 2 turn tables with vinyl records. That involved manual beat matching by adjusting the tempo of the 2nd song while it's playing out the headphones. That's how I started DJing. I used DJ Mano's System and records to start with. Check out this mix I recorded on audio cassette, and only more recently uploaded to a newish Polar Sphere Sound cloud:

These mixes were recording in 2010s includes some Live DJing for Ecstatic Dances and Dance Jams in North Park San Diego. When the time came for me to DJ, I stepped up to mix and beat match live music for ecstatic dances and social gatherings.

These are some of my greatest relics. Some parts are cringe worth, but the vast majority of it is a really enjoyable melodic and beat matched sound journey through many genre and BPMs. Including 90s Dance Vinyls:

My Favorite genre of all is Chillout and Downtempo. This Deforst mix from April 2012 is a fine example of my best mixing of that time.

It's the mix that plays on my old HTML website:
